About International Aid Hand (IAH)…
- We are a Sudanese registered voluntary organization, operating since 2006, that assists disabled Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) or refugees.
- We currently operate in South Darfur.
- We represent a community of 3000 disabled persons (1500 in Nyala town and outskirts) and have the potential to network with two other Sudanese NGOs in South Darfur who focus on supporting handicapped people.
- All our Board members (twelve persons, who are all disabled) are volunteers. All of our activities are financed by contributions from our members.
- We have receently (July '08) received funds from The United Nations Humanitarian Common Fund for capacity building in Non Food Items distribution.
- We have two (2) projects (a carpentry and a sewing workshop for women) for which we need support.
